ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE:  $1,250,000 to $1,500,000

 

SCOPE OF WORK AND BID SUBMITTAL:

Sealed bids for furnishing all materials, equipment, labor, and services for the construction of the 15th Street Waterline Replacement Project for the City of Oregon City (City), Oregon will be received by John M. Lewis, P.E., Public Works Department, 625 Center Street, Oregon City, Oregon, until 2:00 PM local time on May 31, 2016.  Bids received after this time will not be considered.  All bids received prior to the due date and time will be publicly opened and read on the due date and time in the location bids are received. 

The project includes:

  • Construction of approximately 4,800 linear feet of 4-inch through 12-inch ductile iron watermain.
  • Replacement of approximately 42 water services with individual pressure reducing valves on the customer side of the water meter.
  • Installation of approximately eight (8) new fire hydrant assemblies.
  • Installation of a packaged pressure reducing valve station.
  • Minor storm drainage improvements.
  • Replacement of approximately 195 linear feet of 8-inch and 15-inch sewer main.
  • Replacement of one (1), 48-inch manhole.

 

OBTAINING SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS:

Solicitation documents may be obtained on this site by creating a new user account and registering for the project.  PLEASE BE AWARE that once you register to be on the planholder's list you cannot be removed; you will continue to get updates on this project during the duration of the bid process.  However, you cannot view the solicitation documents without registering.  General information including the planholder list is available to the public without registering. 


Solicitation documents are also available for review at the City of Oregon City, Public Works Department, 625 Center Street, Oregon City, Oregon 97045 (telephone:503.657.0891), between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays.

 

MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE:

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 625 Center Street, Oregon City, Oregon.  The purpose of this conference is to discuss the scheduling, phasing, and traffic control requirements, coordination required with other projects being performed, and special construction and testing requirements.  Statements at the conference are not binding unless confirmed by a written addendum. 

 

ADDENDA & CLARIFICATIONS:

Addenda, clarifications and notices will be distributed through this online planholder system; if you are not registered to be a planholder it will preclude you from receiving addenda.  Potential bidders are responsible for ensuring contact information is registered correctly and that email updates are being received and not being sent to spam folders.  It is in the best interest of potential bidders to check this website periodically to ensure all updates are received.  The City is not responsible for failure of bidders to receive notifications of changes or corrections made by the City and posted as stated above.

Questions submitted on this site will be answered individually if considered informal.  Those questions considered to be substantive will be responded to through the addenda process.

 

PLANHOLDER LIST:

Note that the Planholder List module does not work perfectly; registrants get added to the digital list just fine but if you go to print it, depending on your browser, any planholders beyond the first page may not print.  Converting the list to Excel (which is an option) may not work at all or may lead to a text document with one paragraph of text and no formatting; again, depending on your browser.  Keep this in mind if you have need of a paper copy of a complete planholder list.
